Reiki as hands on healing and as distant healing .....................read on Once attuned into Reiki you will have it for life. Before proceeding with other attunements it is important that you have been attuned to at least Level 3. Reiki Level 1 opens you up to channelling Reiki. Reiki Level 2 is Practitioner Level. You can now do distance work and charge for your services. Reiki Level 3 allows you to start attuning others. With each Level you are able to use certain symbols.
To receive attunements, just relax (i.e. sit crossed legged on the floor or sit up straight on a chair or simply lay flat down on your bed and get relaxed). When you are ready just state the appropriate phrase (as below). Do the attunements in order.
Reiki Level 1 Attunement: Just relax, state aloud: “I am now ready to receive the Reiki Level 1 attunement sent to me by... (your teacher's name )”. Cho Koo Ray (Power Symbol)Reiki Level 2 Attunement (Practitioner Level): Just relax, state aloud: “I am now ready to receive the Reiki Level 2 attunement sent to me by.....(your teacher's name )"
Say He Kee (Emotional/Mental Symbol) Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen (Distance Symbol) Reiki Level 3 Attunement (Master/Teacher Level): Just relax, state aloud: “I am now ready to receive the Reiki Level 3 attunement sent to me.... (your teacher's name )”.
Day Koo Meo (Master Symbol)An example of how to do healings – But experiment with different methods:
Treating others –
Rub your hands together to get the flow started. Quietly state to yourself “I ask that my Reiki Guides, Archangels, Angels, Ascended Masters and all beings of light assist me with this healing session. Thank you”. ( then work on just the shoulders, chest & knees personally as Reiki goes to where it is needed. But what follows is the full way). Place your hands on/or just above recipients head and quietly state to yourself: “Reiki” and then appropriate symbol names, 3 times each for your level of Reiki for a few minutes. Then move your hands to next position, the eyes. Proceed in the same way as previous, working on every body part. Once you have gone from head to toe, get recipient to turn over. Do the same as before by going from head to toe. When finished, quietly to yourself thank all those that helped you. Also say to yourself “I'm grounded now”.
Self healings -
Rub your hands together to get the flow started. Quietly state to yourself “I ask that my Reiki Guides, Archangels,Angels, Ascended Masters and all beings of light assist me with this healing session. Thank you”. Place your hands on the problem area for a few minutes and quietly state to yourself: “Reiki” and then appropriate symbol names, 3 times each for your level of Reiki. Do this for all body parts that are a problem. When finished, quietly to yourself thank all those that helped you.
Distance healings –
Reiki follows your intent and focus. State “Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen, Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen, Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen. (RECIPIENT) will now receive a Reiki distance healing........ Now go kiss yourself.......................................because i love you....................... Loving Sairams!!

In japanese school of Reiki, for selftreatement :
1st step : 30 minutes self-treatement in " problem area " 2nd step : completely self-treatment ( all positions, this means 1 - 1.5 hour ) ; 3rd step : another 30 minutes self-treatement on " problem area ".
You can combine Reiki with other Divine energy. Choose symbols that match the problem you want to heal it. At the beginning, use the first 3 symbols what you learn at Usui Reiki level 2. Don`t forget : daily self - treatment For other persons : minimum 10 treatments ( 10 consecutive days ) For distant healing : SEND HEALING SO MUCH YOU FEEL THE FLOW IN PALMS !!!!! 3 MINUTES.... 5 MINUTES.... IS NOT ENOUGH !!!!!!!! Also, if you want send healing for more than one person, try send separately, for can have for yourself a good feedback ( not from patient ). Before every healing session ( distant or in person ), purify your room and WASH YOUR HANDS WITH COLD WATER !
If you want have good results, WORK WITH REIKI ! More attunements is not better result if you don`t work. I see here few members ( unfortunately and moderator ) wich request for every attunement. Does they work with that energy ? No. Sure no. I recommend you to focus on 2 within 3 Reiki systems. But work daily with that systems.
Sorry dear Karthi, I do not want to monopolize this topic and get the other discussions.

Sairam Aishwarya........the Raku symbol is one of the five traditional Usui Reiki symbols. The Raku, also known as "The Completion Symbol" is used during the final stage of the Reiki attunement process. Its intention is to ground and seal the newly awakened Reiki energies. The symbol represents striking lightening and is drawn downwards from the top to below..........it is used by teachers basically.......

Raku is a symbol from Karuna Reiki .Is used in passing attunements, but not in individual healings. Raku helpsto lift negative Karma, and takes the initiate to higher levels of consciousness. Itactivates theHara Line and brings Reiki energy in through the Ki channels, and grounds it inthe Hara. It is used at the end of an attunements in Karuna Ki Do to separate theauras of the master and the student. Raku is an initiatory symbol !

I want to thank you all here in this discussion. It is informative to many as you provide here and I am grateful that you help so many. However, I find it interesting in how some symbols are drawn differently with just a few variations in a few parts of those symbols. As the raku that I learned it is drawn similarly however there are seven points on right side for each chakra center. The symbol shown here has two and the top beginning line coming from the right to left, as I was trained has more horizontal and sweeping before turning back to the right to the first point. It is interesting to me. Also, I have heard from a few reiki communities of energy healers that the symbols have been changing these last 5 years as the frequencies of energy change with global energies changing. Has this been experienced by anyone else? Thank You again for this informative discussion.
love and light and laughter to you all raven
