Hi, dear Steve!
I am happy to attune you in the Reiki Master/Teacher level, dear friend.
The distant attunement works as easily as the hands-on attunement and it is working based on the same principle: the intent.
Also, the ritual is the same either, just the symbol used is different: DAI-KO-MIO (the symbol you already know it as you said you read the manual for Reiki Master/Teacher level, isn't it?).
You need to create a very pleasant, relaxant environement with or without editation/reiki music on a low volume so that your peace of mind won't be disturbed by the exterior factors.
The light should be a cosy one, so you can perform the attunement in the evening and you can use a night lamp or even better, some nice candels!
To improve the environement you can burn some incents or some fine oil having your favourite fragrance.
Then you can lie down in bed, on your back side, with you face, tummy, palms upwards and your feet a bit spreaded and being along the line of your shoulders; next you can "draw" with your index finger or mentally (with the "eyes of your mind") the symbols on your palms and on your main chakras the DAI-KO-MIO symbol. You can also spell the symbol's name louder or inside your mind.
Then you can start the irrespective attunement by the exact time already settled by you and I, pronouncing the next words:
"I, Steve, am calling the Highest and Divine Reiki healing energies, as an attunement for Reiki level 3rd/Master level; I receive the attunement with love and light"
Then I ask you to thank to the Supreme Source for three times like: "Thank you, thank you, thank you".

I kindly ask you that, beginning with the forthcoming day upon the attunement, to detox your body along the next 7 days, by drinking plenty of water/natural liquids (example: normal water/ mineral water/ still water/ tea/ soup/ natural fruit juices) and to start perform a daily selfhealing.
Selfhealing is of utmost importance for a Reiki practitioner because, this way, the lightworker is deblocking and rebalancing his/her whole body's energetic chanels on his/her physical/material levels as well as on his/her subtle energetical levels (etherical, psychological, mental, spiritual etc levels). This way he/she can chanel a larger amount of Reiki energies to him/herself as well as to his/her patient for a better/stronger healing process.

Yes, after you get the attunement, is right to detox your body, dear Steve.
The date will be settled by you because you are the one to feel ready to receive it. I am always available to help you, so please, let me know the date and time when you are ready to receive the Reiki Master attunement.
After that, you will start to cleanse your body, of course.

Mona, thank you very much for the Attunement; sorry I did not get back to you until now. All went very well and I am currently going through the cleansing and self healing. I do have a question; I found that I was not as thirsty after the attunement as when I when through the Reiki I and II attunement. Is that normal?

Mona, I am in good spirits emotionally. Physically I still have my chronic back pain (since 1998), nothing has changed there; I did feel some extra numbness in my legs on Saturday the 13th.  I am still working on my self healing. Other than that I would say that all is well and about the same as usual.  Thank you again for the attunement and the follow up. I am enjoying the Reiki path site and all the wonderful information here.

Mona, thanks for your recommendations, kind thoughts and words of encouragement. I have set my intention to be healed and am working towards my Higher Good. I am taking better care of myself and I am willing to try just about anything that may help. Will let you know how things go.
