Dear makar, it is good that you ask questions. With questions only then, we all learn  Maybe what we should be clear is that, in this attunement..you are being attuned to Usui Reiki...please do not mix it with other systems and modules. What bro Sorin is attuning you to is the Usui Reiki System...this is where it all started. Tummo Reiki is a variant branched out from the traditional systems, which many systems are based on the traditional Usui Reiki. Don't mix the systems up. If you break them up, you will understand them better. Each system has become independent by itself....it is just like novels with different writers. It is advisable if you follow step by step. All kidding aside,please start with having faith and trust.Reiki is ALL about trust,intention and faith.If you have all of these it works well.If you basically lack these, you aren't getting anywhere.And start with your teacher.Its good to ask questions,to learn,but not to appear more knowledgeable than your teacher.How will you ever receive then? Humility is necessary to receive too.What can you hope to take back if you go wz a cup already full? Only an empty sponge can soak up...

I need to know if Reiki is right-sided or not. How am I supposed to know that by intuition?
I have no experience in any kind of energy work. I don't know how am I appearing more knowledgeable than anyone else, even if it is it was purely unconsciously done. I have got everything to learn and nothing to give/teach/share as of now.

Makar....Reiki is PURE intent..........it is neither left nor right sided......and yes u would have got this answer too,if u had listened to ur own self......tune in.....ALL the answers are there....but u've got to listen.....and to listen, quieten ur mind....the mind is just a bundle of confusion and thoughts that are like threads all entangled....and the more u analyze...the less u will learn.....Reiki is like intuition... it is a function of the higher consciousness....the heart explains it better,'coz it understands it better....and silence is not absence of external talk or sound...it is absence of inner chatter.... silence ur mind...do a lot of meditation,silent sitting,introspection,etc....
p.s if by right/left side u mean the Yin and Yang and the balance between the two sides of the brain....then Reiki only helps in setting the balance...

Makar, Could you define your meaning of Right-sided? My understanding of right side may not be what you are talking about. if you could enlighten me. Are you saying right-side meaning good/evil, masculine/feminine, light/darkness ...etc?? I do understand that you would like to clarify things before an attunement..that is good. Let's get to an understanding and let Love and Light prevail. After all, we are all students and teachers...we learn and teach each day whether knowingly or unknowingly. Thanks Blessings xian |

Dear xian and karthika, So reiki balances yin and yang, thats what I wanted to hear. By right-side I meant the pingala nadi which is considered to carry heating/male energy. Ida-pingala is same as yin-yang. Either one of them is generally dominating in people so reiki will help me balance that which is great And dear Sorin, Last question.....I just read that you do not pass master level as distant attunement. Do I have to get all levels from the same master? I hope someone here gives master level distant attunement. Is there a compulsion to wait for a long time to get level 3? Thanks |

Dear Makar, It is great to hear that the air has clear up. There is always a balance Don't worry about the Master Level yet. When the time comes, an answer and a solution will surface. Take your Usui Reiki level 1 first, work with it, then progress to level 2 and work your way up to Master level. Try not to rush levels, as each level you will experience different things. Yes, I don`t pass distant attunement for Usui Reiki Master Level. Why ? Because is difficult to learn via internet some techniques.
Of course, I get all levels from same masters. About Master Level, I think is better if the student wait 1- 2 years after 2nd level. Also, 1-3 month between 1st and 2nd level.
