I've become very interested in the reiki level 2 symbols and have been practicing them thoroughly.  It feels like a new chapter is opening up.  But, I won't lie, it aggravates me and kills my enthusiasm that I do not know which is the correct way to draw the symbols.

As far as cho ku rei is concerned, there isn't a big contradiction as I've only noticed it drawn two ways:

As we can see the second image of cho ku rei has an extra circling line.  But that isn't a big issue.  Sei he ki also has a few variations, but nothing too confusing.  Hon sha ze sho nen however is a different story and is the giant of confusion for me.  This is why...

The distance symbol has very noticeable differences and it is discouraging me.  I realize intention plays a big role in the energy frequency, but the symbols themselves carry the energy frequency and seeing such differences makes me skeptical as to which is the right way of drawing it.

Thoughts?

I think that the practitioner's sincere desire to help and heal others ( or self ) is the most important thing Smiley

As Margo stated, intention is essence to use Reiki, to do healing and to use symbols.
Firstly intention !!

The frequency of symbol is transfered to atunee by his/her teacher during attunement process.
If your master teacher placed the first CKR symbol (from your pictures) to your aura, you can use this symbol's energy with that variation.
Even all different variations, if you use another CKR variation, you can not access the energy of this symbol just as you can do with your own symbol. This CKR version is anti-clockwise,also there is clockwise version. And I believe the shape of symbol effects the energy, even they have same name.
Yes, symbols you received form your master is important. But what will happen if you draw my symbols wrongly while you send healing or using Reiki? Won't healing reach to target?
No, healing will reach to person exactly in the way you send. Because you intended to send healing just as you receive the sacred information from your teacher. Maybe you draw incorrect but you did not intend to draw incorrect intentionally. Your Reiki guides corrected them for you.
But if you don't use your symbol version and try to experiment other CKR versions, you won't be access that symbol's energy just as you can do with your own. (if you don't live an placebo effect)

As you see, there is a slight nuance with the intention.

Not to live these confusions between the drawing of symbols, before this internet age, these informations and symbols were being kept as secret and weren't being shared to public. They were only being transferred from teacher to student. Because the most correct verison of a symbol is the one that is transferred to student.

But now, when we type a symbol of reiki as a word on searching engines on internet, we can find thousands of satisfying web pages (or much more) which include reiki symbols and applying informations.
Also we see in book stores, symbols are also used in the covers of reiki books freely.

Still sacred but no more secret informations and symbols of a holy healing tradition, Usui Reiki ..

Hello Michael,

Don`t  be confused. Is important to connect properly to the source symbols. Because, I`m sure you know  that the symbol is like a door. When you open the door ( activate the symbol ), you connect to Divinity behind the symbol. Is important to activate correct the symbol, for to can ....'' open the door '' . The symbol is for to help others to connect easyer to that Divinity .
After a long practice, you`ll see that you can connect those Divinity without apply the symbols.

Know someone who are the Divininity behind the Usui Reiki level 2 symbols ?

Many Blessings

Hi all, sorry for not responding sooner, I am without internet access at the moment.  Thank you all for your responses!

Basically the power behind the symbols can be accessed from the symbols I have been attuned to (and by intention of course).

Sorin, I do not know anyone associated with reiki other than myself, hehe.  But since you happen to be the person who has attuned me to 2nd level, you can inform me as to which version of Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen you have attuned me to?

Dear Michael,

Is not very important the method how you '' arrange the lines '' . Must important is if you are conected properly to symbol`s energy.
The must usual activate the symbols are :
1. draw the symbol ;
2. visualise the symbol;
3. say His mantra for 3 times.

If you are not sure about symbol, you can activate it using the method 3. Also, you can use method 2 but you`ll visualise the symbol like a very bright white light.
Whatever you draw the symbol, the vibration is of the same

If you want to succeed, stop linking the little things. Do not cling to any thought.

Many Blessings

this is probably going to be the most weird answer one could get.

dear alphamind

Do not confuse with how you or i draw the symbols. What matters is the intention. Take for example, a potato. You'd cook it in a different way, may be you will boil it, fry it whereas I may just grill it or something but in the end, what we both eat is a potato. Lol! So see, there is no confusion.

Hope my answer helps Cheesy

Love and light

An explanation on the number of turns, especially the number of nodes that it creates, finds in the image below. Words are unnecessary.

The numbers of spires or nodes is a pure coincidence. We know that CKR is a symbol from buddhism ( because we know the buddhist entity behind this symbol ). But the buddhist tradition have only 5 chakras , not 7.

Many blessings !

Very interesting! I know the combination number of nodes with the number of chakras.  I also heard the version with three and a half turns it because Kundalini is surrounded by three and a half times and the spiral would be the representation of Kundalini.
This is why I engage in discussions: always learn new things. Thank you Mr. Sorin.

5 chakras
5 Reiki Principles
5 elements
5 symbols
5 cardinal points....
