Hello! Smiley

I am a Reiki Master (but not already Teacher) since a few weeks now.

There is something which I do not understand with Reiki attunements because I got pieces of information which I find contradictory.

The Reiki attunement can be given when the student asks for it and feels ready. A 21-day period of time should be respected between two attunements.

But:
1. It is also possible not to respect this 21-day period of time
2. No matter if the attunement is for Level I, II or III, the way you proceed (as a Teacher) is always the same
3. You can give one or several attunements for each level

What I do not understand is:
If the way you proceed for each attunement is the same, and that someone can be attuned for several levels within less than 21 days, how is it possible to give several attunements for one level?
In other words, what is the difference between those 2 cases:
- you are giving an attunements for Level I and the day after a second attunements for Level I
- you are giving an attunements for Level I and the day after an attunements for Level II

In my case, I had a 2-day course where I got 4 attunements for Level I. But my Reiki Master would have proceeded the same if she had wanted to attune me in Levels I and II... So where is the difference?
Does it depend on the Master's intention to attune in a certain Level or does it depend on the student's preparation?

I hope this is clear...

Many thanks in advance for helping me and giving me your point of view!!

Dear Floriane,

For attunements you can have many methods. You can do 4 attunements for Usui Reiki level 1 ( 2 / day ) ; in the same time, you can do only 1 attunement .
I don`t recommend level 2 in the day after level 1. There must be a distance of 2 - 3 month between level 1 and 2 ( my opinion ).
But because you are not teacher, be patient. Also, ask your Master Teacher. Anyway, you`ll learn the techniques from him. The best techniques you`ll learn in class, not at distant attunement ( or manuals ). you must see the technique procedures and repeat this untill you learn very good. Because the attunements are not jokes.

Many Blessings

Dear Sorin,

Thanks for your answer!

Actually I am already attuned for Level III (Master/Teacher).
I say I am not already a Teacher because I want to understand before I take the responsibility to attune other people (actually I already attuned my orchid!  Cheesy )

I learnt 2 methods for attunements (the one with the Master Symbol and the one with the Wisdom Symbol). And I also learnt to respect a 21-day time period between 2 levels.

Sorry, but If you lie to learn something, I can not believe you that you are Reiki Master Teacher....
Do you know the Reiki principles ( by heart ) ?
If your answer is " YES ! " , do you apply them ?

P.S. Please continue to attune your orchid !  laugh laugh laugh

Oh, no Sorin!! What was the guilt of that innocent orchid  Huh?
 Sad

Cheesy Cheesy I am just kidding.

Mademoiselle, as I observed from now on, there are lots of attunement styles of Usui Reiki.
With wisdom symbol, with antahkarana, with only 4 symbols, combinations or with no symbol.. With these methods, also applications of attunements vary so different from each other. So there is not an exact method to give attunement.
In reiki discipline, the essence is to do what your master shows. So after you receive your master/teacher level (as you received before), you will be taught the technique to attune students. I think same like Sorin because we think traditionally for Usui Reiki.
There are several modalities and every day a few new systems come up.
So there are so many systems more and more than thousand. (Lastly I count approx. 2500 systems).
And almost %80 of these modalities have "reiki" in the end of their names.
abc reiki, xyz reiki,.. etc..

But all of them are very different and far away from Usui Reiki (about traditionality and sacredness). Usui reiki the "real reiki".

So we can not compare Usui Reiki with other attunement systems. Maybe for other systems, two days, 1 week or 21 days gap are necessary and ideal to receive new attunement.
But for Usui Reiki, it is not !! in my opinion. Because it is essential and ancestor of these systems we count.

I agree with Sorin. I,myself, recommend at least a few months to receive level 2 after level 1.
For student, to be ready for attunement does not make him/her to be able to integrate and handle with these new energies and frequencies through student's physical body, energy bodies and his/her life.
Yes, these new energies also will work on student's life, karma, relationships and any other aspects of his/her life.
Differences will come down, so overloading student with little gaps between attunements or give all levels at once will bomb attunee, both psychological and physical and won't serve student's highest good in this manner.

When you feel responsibility of attuning and when you feel ready, I advice you to learn and practice well, the method of your teacher and take care of your students about energy overloading.

Much Love and Blessings..

Hello; You need to ask these questions of your Reiki instructor. If you did not understand during your training, you should not be doing any Reiki training until you fully understand the manual.Kathlene
