I want open this topic because, unfortunately, many Reiki practitioners don`t know send a distant healing therapy.
Therefore, first, want to ask some questions for those who do distance treatments :
1. How we start a healing therapy ?
2. How long does a healing session ?
3. What we do during a healing session ?
4. What should not do during a healing session ?
I am waiting your different responses, but not those like '' I`m agree with X " ( X = a fictive RP member  )
I am waiting answers from simple RP members, from Masters and from " Masters " and from all RP members

Dear brother, Thank you for opening this very necessary topic. Yes unfortunately,many Reiki practitioners (also some members in our family) don't know how to send a distant healing. I am waiting your different responses, but not those like '' I`m agree with X " ( X = a fictive RP member ) I'm agree with you..   I generally see that some members come to forum,view a few topics on ''Receive Reiki 24x7'' board and post "healing sent" messages and then send attunement request messages, but all these actions happen within a few seconds or 1 minute.  OK, maybe they send beforehand and after then post their messages. I think well-intentioned and I trust (or to be honest, I want to trust). Sending a healing session to whom needs healing or suffers from a disease is so simple and requires so short time??? I will share my ideas on these four questions exactly but firstly would like to wait to see various ideas from friends.. Let the discussion start |

I personally treat distance healing the same as if the person was in the room with me. I do not have a set amount of time, but I like to average about 15-20 minutes of meditation, focusing on sending energy to that person. I let me intuition guide me if a certain type of reiki or angels are required. If the person knows you are going to send energy, then I think you can use an energy "chi" ball. I put my intent into the energy ball how long I want the energy treatment to last. I don't put the same amount of time making a "chi" ball, I just stop when I feel like it is complete. Ultimately, I believe the most important aspect of healing is true intent. 20 minutes of healing from a person who is just doing it to meet the requirements of the forum is not the same as a few moments of pure loving intent healing from a person who is healing because he/she wants to help the person. It feels amazing to be able to help people who are in need or suffering, and I hope that eventually, everyone in this forum understands that so the moderators don't have to worry about tracking each member's participation in healing sessions. I am very happy to be part of this forum and have the opportunity to share reiki with people all over the world.

1. I always start by using the distance symbol to connect with the person's energy. I ask Reiki to flow for the person's highest good, but specify what their concern is. 2.The session may be short, like 5 minutes, or longer, depending on the feeling. I ask for Reiki to continue as long as necessary to solve the problem or however long it takes to heal. 3. Focus on love and relax, visualize energy going into the recipient. Ask for help from Angels and Guides. Thank Reiki for helping, realizing that what is meant to happen will happen. 4. Force the energy; try to dictate how Reiki should heal. |

Is very interesting : many members say they send healing, but they don`t share their method. Why ? Don`t must feel ashamed who don`t know or don`t understand the techniques. Let`s learn together.

Hello there 1. I start the healing session by grounding myself and "creating" by intent a protective shield (that I like to name it bubble) around me, asking to protect myself from any negative energy that might come from the person I send energy to and from around me. Then I visualize the person where she/he is or next to me and create the same shield around her. 2. The duration of a healing session can take 10 - 60 minutes depending on what I feel that I should do for that person. 3. Sometimes I first do a Chakra balance and only after that I "fill" that shield with energy - white or yellow light ( sometimes I like pink too as a love expression) and let it surround the person and make it warm and relaxing. After that I focus on the spot where the person needs healing for 2-3 minutes, not more because the energy goes where it is needed anyway without me trying to control it. In the end I request for the energy to continue sending until is not needed anymore but to disconnect from me. Oh, I almost forgot, I think a grounding for the patient should be done too. While sending energy I visualize how the energy goes through the body of the other person and sometimes use it as a massage, as if I would be there and use my hands. 4. While doing a healing session I think we must keep our thoughts pure, only positive attitude in order not to send the negative energy to others and even attract towards us more negativity from the universe. Never think that WE do the healing since we should not use out own energy for that. We must not allow the other people sickness or feelings to stick to us by any chance. And here I remember about the attachment, so, in a way we should not suffer (be sad) in those moments for the sick person. As I know, is not good to remain connected to others so we must cut the connections right after the session ends. In this moment I don't have more ideas of what we should not do, so I am curious what you say too |

Hello! Thanks for openning this topic. I'm very enthusiastic to read how each of us proceed for distant healing! I do not have a specific method, but I usually do as follows: 1. I start with the Master Symbol to connect me with the Universal Source, then I use the Distance Symbol to connect the person with the Universal Source. 2. It depends. It can last one or a few minutes: For example if I see people having a dispute, I will send immediatly Reiki energy to their conflictual situation. It can last up to 45 minutes. In this case, I plan the healing session in advance to make sure that I have enough time and that I will not be interrupted. The energy flow is usually strong. For this reason, the session lasts quite a long time because I want to wait until the flow stops. 3. I use mostly the Master Symbol which makes me feel bubbling with smiling smileys. When I feel that the energy flow is weaker, I repeat one of several symbols which I find appropriate in the situation. 4. The more important is that you feel good and relaxed during the session. You should not let your mind think about something else (for example what you are going to have for lunch!). Keep concentrated on your healing, and if you can't concentrate anymore, then the healing session has come to its end. |

I clean the space, light a candle and an incense [usually salvia], ad the universe, angels, archangels about my intentions and ask him to guide me, then talk to Mother Mary tell who or what I want to heal and please put one in my hands all the required symbols which I have access to I feel heat up like my hands and I vibrate. Then use the method for sending energy Teddy Bear, with the consent and in accordance with Divine Will! Please reiki energy to flow through the person and to sew energy ruptures, and balance the chakras and to eliminate negative energies in the ground to be transformed into light. Please reiki energy to flow as long as necessary.
do this until my hands are cooled and not feel the vibrations. Then thank everyone for their help, using CKR for sealing, then I cross the Bear [cross is vibration the sky 10, as HARTH]

Thank You for this topic...very informative.. generally I put protection -white light ,golden light and violet mirror box and then call all guides angels and then tell the person name and ask reiki to flow for highest good..nowadays i use master symbol and for distant healing dhsymbol ...then after the vibrations stop ground myself and wash my hands...

I`m not so sure if is OK to pray Reiki energy to heal and energize the subject. Because is a intelligent Energy, Reiki know better than you what and where work in subject. About the time for a healing session, unfortunately I must say you that 3 minutes is not a short time. Is very short time. A distant healing session takes at least 10 - 15 minutes ( sometimes much more ) after starting the flow from your palms ( after activating all the symbols use by you in that session and / or call all Entityes to help you ).
Trick : Before every healing session , use this affirmation : I AM A PURE CHANNEL FOR REIKI ENERGY

I think time for a healing session depends on the healing system! for example for Usui Reiki 30 mins or more is good, and for Kundalini reiki 5 min is enough and usually for Shamballa 10 minutes ... but it's great to follow our heart for timing and how to do a healing and choosing the system ... What do you think?  |

In a healing session is important how many open is '' the subject ''.
Because if is not open the session can take less than 1 minute. Because the healer feel that the subject is not a good receptor.
Also, if the subject is very open for healing session, his desire for change / healing is very deep, the healing session can take more time. Here, the results are spectacular.

Personally, I send spinning Reiki symbols and prayers for the request. Even if I continue to do other things, I hold concentration, intent for it to continue and can feel intense energy continue to go thru my crown and out of my palm chakras, as my faith and intent is that the Reiki will continue to work even if I move along to other requests. In my intent and mind, I am sending healing to as many as possible, and I can feel the energy continuing to work strongly in my ears, crown and hands and trust that Source can multitask.

I guess that I am old, old schooled. I don't use grounding nor surround myself in white light, I was never taught this. I believe that while I am giving the healing treatment, the Reiki will protect me.
I say the name(s) of the person to whom I am sending the healing to and ask permission of mine and their higher selves to do so and/or that they receive it with love for their highest good. I have a little friend that I use to rest my hands on while giving the healing (kind of like a fill-in as though they were physically in front of me). I use the 1st & 3rd symbols at the beginning of the session, which can last from 10 minutes to 30 minutes. And the 1st symbol at the end of the session. I the proceed to clear the area and give thanks.
This seems to work for me~

All the petitions I read on Reiki Path and all the healing sessions I send are put into my reiki box and I send reik everyday for as long as I can once or more depending on the day I have. Minimal 10 to 15 minutes then I post.... For those of you who don't know about the reiki box it has all three symbols places in it and then it is closed with the Cho-ku-rei every time it is opened.
I find it very useful and a way of keeping track of all the poeple who need help and reiki along with mother earth and the RG.

Dear Sorin,
1. I start the process by reciting holy verses as protection for myself.Then i ground sending roots to the center of the earth,usually there is a river of white light at the center of Earth.Then i ask the AA to surround and protect me and bring a pillar of white light from heaven above to the center of earth.As the white light starts flowing i am grounded,safe and protected.
Then i take the teddy bear and intend it is the recipient for healing and name it.I request the higher self of that person to be open and accept the healing i would be sending.With master symbol intending to open, clean and clear the chakkras,removing blocks i start with distant symbol and send the Reiki.Reiki flows where ever is needed the most.I ask for the healing of 5 bodies( physical,mental,emotional,astral and spiritual).
2. Duration of the session depends on different things but it usually lasts about 30 to 40 min. Some times the higher self asks for more light or different type of healings. I was asked once it needs star of Bethlehem.At that time i did not know what it was and searched on the internet ( its flower essence) but then again i did not know how to reiki a flower essence? so i just asked the angels to infuse star of Bethlehem in the higher self.
Every healing session is different from others so i can't set an outline or limit it.
3. During healing session i intend that reiki is flowing as God wishes for the highest and Divine good of the person.I am just an instrument and i am not doing anything.Therefore i am not attached to the outcome of the healing session.
4.I haven't thought about what we shouldn't do during the healing session.( I am alone in my room,i am not talking to anyone else,watching TV or day dreaming during healing session.My full attention with eyes closed is towards the person )
At the end i ground and close the chakkras of the person and bless him/her.Thank the higher self of the person and AA for helping me during the session.
I thank my higher self,Reiki guides and my spirit guides as well.
This is the way i know ,if i am doing something wrong please do let me know a better way for sending the healings.
